MyPartyGenie is the incarnation of three friends--one American, one Georgian and one Armenian--who live in Europe, travel the world extensively and have a flair for finding the best places to have fun.

Strumming along the seaside in Cascais, Portugal some years back, the American guy found himself in front of 6 clubs, all of which were piping music and portending fun, but also demanding steep cover charges.  How would one know which was worth the entrance fee, what type of crowd might be on offer, or what kind of music to expect?  Wasn’t there some resource out there that could dispense that type of information?  A party genie of sorts?

Since then many web-based guides have been launched offering reviews of nightlife venues, usually on a city-by-city basis. But what they miss are the personalities behind the reviews.  How much stock could one put in an anonymous review of a place, when the reviewer is likely to have completely different interests, tastes and expectations than the reader.  

On MyPartyGenie you can view profile photos and key information about the people who have reviewed each venue.  Moreover, there’s the socializing element.  Facebook is a wonderful place to maintain friendships.  MyPartyGenie is a wonderful place to make new friendships.
